Despite the atrocities, we had dinner with my brother's fiance and decided to try some of the rides at Crown Regency's 38th floor, which offered me much relief. I was pretty skeptical, thinking it wasn't much of a thrill-seeking experience. But as soon as the seats tilted towards the ground, my altophobia began to kick in. I began to curse a little as soon as it tilted to a full 55 degrees. I know, it may not look like it, but it was damn scary yet exhilarating. We also tried the sky walk experience which wasn't as intimidating as the edge coaster, but it offered spectacular views. It was five degrees below zero and despite wearing 4 layers of clothing, 2 layers of pants, and a few accessories I still felt a bit cold. Overall, the trip was great. Exhilarating fun, fantastic views of God's grandeur, and time with friends. Just a tip for those next in line: if you wanna go to Mt Buller and have little or no experience in Snowboarding, I suggest that you not take the ski life pass which costs a separate $75 from the $50 rental of the gear and $55 trip fee. I only had the chance to use the lift once, which took some time due to the long queue, and we got off at the beginner slope which was a 15 to 20 minute walk from the bottom. We walked, took the bus, tram and train just to get to anywhere we felt was a good place to lose ourselves. We also tried to visit the Eagle bar but to our misfortune, bar nights only took place on Thursdays. So we bought some beer and drank in our flat. We also had the chance to visit some parties of other flats and met some interesting people. Drinking was one way of keeping ourselves warm since it is officially winter, with temperatures dropping to 5 degrees! Other than that, we also visited Melbourne's busy Central Business District which was amazing and one day, we might immerse ourselves in its colourful night life. The next few places we want to visit are Mt. Buller, where many ski resorts can be found, and kangaroo, koala and penguin reserves. Regarding our studies at La Trobe, we managed to attend three lectures so far, two of which are from the same course.
